Puppies for Sale in Singapore

To find puppies for sale in Singapore, there is one popular place located at the far eastern side of Singapore called, Pasir Ris Farmway 1 and 2.

If you are deciding to buy a puppy, it would be good that you head down to Pasir Farmway to physically see and touch the dog breeds that you are looking for before you decide. Most of the sellers are friendly, if you show interest in buying a puppy.

Once you arrive at the farmway, you will see many farms/shops selling a range of popular dog breeds, pretty much the common ones you see in Singapore.  You will get to see breeds like, Toy Poodles, Golden Retrievers, Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers, Miniature Schnauzers, Chihuahua, etc…

Personally, I went to every single pet shops/farm in search of my first puppy, from small ones to big ones. It is definitely a good experience to see so many different dog breeds at one location, and you can really see the difference in the face, body structure and coat among the same breed. Unlike Pet Shops, there are only a selected few per breed for you to choose and compare, at Pasir Ris Farmway, you can compare and better understand yourself what you really are looking for. For example, there is one farm that sells mainly Toy Poodles that have more than ten red toy poodles for sale, and every puppy looks different. Although they are all of the same breed, and about the same age, the coat colour and texture, length of body, leg and tail, facial expression are different. Yes, tough choice. Be it then! Do not make your decision just yet! Take it as a reference for the breed you are looking for.

To be honest, most farms or shops you see are selling ‘impure’ puppies. What do I mean by that? Do not judge a book by its cover.  Well, all puppies look cute in one way or another, but in order to have a smooth 15 years journey with you future dog, you need to have a quality puppy to start with, which means looking for a pure breed dog and pursue the bloodline.

In my opinion, we have to be very realistic in making decisions when buying a dog, especially when we have a choice. Choosing a puppy based on looks and gut feel is purely just gambling. Remember that this commitment stays with you for 13-15 years. If dog lovers look into quality of dog in terms of health and physique as the main criteria, breeders will be forced to look into the demand, to reduce unethical breeding, and reduce commonly related abandonment and abuse.
